It is with great pleasure that we welcome Greg Stansfield to our Sales Team!
Greg has been boating since childhood. As an 8 year old all Stansfield family holidays were spent on an old Kauri Ketch rigged H28 which took the family around the Hauraki gulf and up to the bay of islands.
As a teenager Greg owned a number of boats and continued to enjoy most weekends out in the gulf sailing with friends.
Greg worked as a VHF operator for Coastguard out of mechanics bay which was fun and allowed him to do the day skippers course , VHF Radio course and a host of other coastguard courses.
Greg carried on his maritime education and graduated from MIT in 2020 with an SRL commercial skippers’ qualification.
Greg loves living in Northland , he has a boat in the Marsden Cove marina and has bought a house in Ruakaka near the beach.
Greg says “It’s a real pleasure to be working with Sam at Open Ocean Marine at the marina where he gets to talk boats all day long with a fun load of likeminded characters.
Both Sam and I look forward to the year ahead with Greg onboard!
